Google Algorithm Update

On January 19th, 2012 Google released an article about the newest update about how their search results work, lets take a look at what they said. In Google’s efforts to show high quality sites on the front page of the SERP, Google has made an update to their Search Algorithms. This update actually looks at the layout of your website and the amount of content a user will see once they have clicked on your website.
Google claims that they have been getting user complaints about sites that have low content, “about-the –fold” so to say, and that they do not like this. Users are having bad experiences because they want more information from websites. You see with online marketing, experts work hard to do three things when a user reaches their site. First you have to get the user excited, use bright colors and moving pictures so the user has to focus. Second get them interested, ask questions and lead into an answer without giving it up. Third allow them an action to find the answer they are looking for, fill out a form or call a number. So a system that has worked for many years and now according to Google searchers don’t like this and these sites will no longer rank as high for it!
